The difference between an expression and an equation is that an expression is the value of one single number and a equation is the relationship between two numbers. (Not sure what RAE is sorry)

If a Uber charges $6 plus $1.50 for each mile then for 8 miles it would be $60 because $6 + $1.50 = $7.5. Next, you would do $7.5 x 8 = $60 for 8 miles.

Hope this helped!!
