3 x 5 = 15ft
3 x 4 = 12ft
3 x 3 = 9 divided by 2 = 4.5
15 + 12 + 4.5 = 31.5 ft

B. 31.5 ft^2 because you find the area of each rectangle and add them and then find the area of the triangle and add it in to get 31.5 ft^2
