The gas volume has direct relation to vasodilation and vasoconstriction because both vasodilation and vasoconstriction is responsible for allowing gas through the blood vessels. Vasodilation is the widening of blood vessels whereas Vasoconstriction is the narrowing of blood vessels by small muscles in their walls. So when the blood vessels are widen, the gas volume increases due to more space in the blood vessels while on the other hand, if the blood vessels are narrow so the gas volume decreases in order to easily flow in the blood vessels.
