A body of mass 0.5kg is thrown vertically upwards

from the ground with an Initial velocity of 80.m/s
Calculate
" the potential energy at B 80.0cm above the ground​

Here's the solution,

we know,

potential energy = mgh

where,

  • m = mass = 0.5 kg
  • g = acc due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²
  • h = height = 0.8 m (80 cm)

So,

p.e = 0.5 * 9.8 * 0.8

=》


p.e = 3.92 \: \: joules
