Please help me!!!

Jeremy surveyed 50 of his fellow students about whether or not they are planning to work during summer break. Of the students he surveyed, 15 said they planned to work.

A) What is the experimental probability that the next person surveyed will say he or she plans to work?

B) What is the experimental probability that the next person surveyed will say he or she does not plan to work?

Answers:

  • A) 3/10
  • B) 7/10

=================================================

Step-by-step explanation:

15 people said they plan to work out of 50 total.

15/50 = 3/10 of his sample plans to work, which is the experimental probability of picking someone who plans to work.

---------------

50-15 = 35 people do not plan to work

35/50 = 7/10 is the experimental probability of picking someone who doesn't plan on working.

Or you could compute it like this 1 - 3/10 = 7/10 because there are only two options. Either the person plans to work or they don't.
