Can you only find the exact number of a square root by calculator? If there are any other ways can you give me the name of the process and how to do it.

looking at the factors of the number is the only other way i can think of. for example, if you’re looking for the square root of 49, the factors would be 1,49,and 7 and 7. 7 times 7 is 49, therefore the square root of 49 is 7. It gets a little more difficult for bigger numbers though.

you can multiply the number by itself that’s what it means
