Donovan has 5 times as many red fish as he does blue fish and half as many gray fish as blue fish. How many total fish (F) does Donovan have?

A. F = 6x + 1/2x
B. F = 1/2x + 5 + x
C. F = 6 + 1/2x
D. F = 5x + 1/2x

The answer is A.

Explanation:

X is the blue fish, The red fish is 5 times more than the blue fish so it's 5x. The gray Fish is half the amount of the gray fish so it would be 1/2x.

So therefore the equation should be F=1/2x+ 5x + x. and then you combine liked terms which is 5x+x which is 6x. and the Equation overall should be F= 6x + 12/x (sorry if I'm incorrect)
