On Saturday, Malia's volleyball team will be having a family picnic. Hotdogs are sold in packages of 10 and hotdog buns are sold in packages of 8. What is the least number of hotdogs and buns that Malia's team should buy to have exactly the same number of each?

A. 10 hotdogs and 10 buns

B. 16 hotdogs and 16 buns

C. 40 hotdogs and 40 buns

D. 4 hotdogs and 4 buns

Explanation:

For A: If we multiply 10 by 10 it gives us 100 and 8 by 10 is 80 and this off by 20 and we need to find number that are the closest.

For B: 16 by 10 is 160 and 16 by 8 is 128 and this has a big difference of 32. This also a big number and I don't know why a team would need 128 hotdogs.

For C: 40 by 10 is 400 and 8 by 40 is 320 and this wayyy of by 80. And i doubt a team needs 320 hotdogs.

For D: 4 by 10 is 40 and 8 by 4 is 32 this is only off by 8 and compared to the other options is the most closest and 32 hotdogs for a team should be reasonable.
