are you trying to solve for p?
p/1 + 10 = 10
p = 0
solve by simplifying both sides of the equation and isolating the variable.

\huge\text{Hey there!}

\mathsf{(p)/(1) + 10 =10}

\large\text{SIMPLIFY the SIDES of the EQUATION}

\mathsf{(p)/(1)= \bf p}

\large\text{NEW EQUATION: \textsf{p + 10 = 10}}

\mathsf{p + 10 = 10}

\large\text{SUBTRACT \textsf{10} to BOTH SIDES}

\textsf{p + 10 - 10 = 10 - 10}

\large\text{CANCEL out: \textsf{10 - 10} because that gives you \textsf{0}}

\large\text{KEEP: \textsf{10 - 10} because it helps you solve for your equation}

\large\text{NEW EQUATION: \textsf{p = 10 - 10}}

\mathsf{p = 10 - 10}

\mathsf{10 - 10 = p}

\large\text{SOLVE ABOVE \& YOU HAVE YOUR ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION}

\mathsf{10 - 10 =\bf 0}

\mathsf{\bf p = 0}

\boxed{\boxed{\large\text{Answer: \huge \bf p = 0}}}\huge\checkmark
