-19v=-133\\v=(-133)/(-19)\\ v=7

When -19v = -133, you have to get v alone.

This means you have to remove the -19 from the front of the v

To do this, you divide by the -19(the coefficent)

When you divide, you must divide from both sides, and thus you will get:


v=(-133)/(-19)

The negative signs cancel out, and result in
(133)/(19)

From there, you just calculate it and you get 7.
