There are 4 roses for every 7 carnations in a bouqeuet. Mr rodriguez buys a bouqeuet with 12 roses in it. How many total flowers are in the bouqeuet Mr rodriguez bought?

there is a 4 to 7 ratio in the first situation.

so if there is (4*3) the it would be (7*3) so it would be 21 carnations

this gives 12+21 for a total of 33 flowers.

the ratio is 4/7 so you could also go (4/7)(12) and then add that to the original 12 in the boqouet in order to get the same answer. Hope this helps!
