How do I find a change in scale factors? I forgot to write notes on how to find a change in scale factors and can’t seem to find a video. A formula and/or explanation would be absolutely wonderful! Or, a video recommendation from someone who explains it would do as well. :) This is for a seventh-grade level question.

In two similar geometric figures, the ratio of their corresponding sides is called the scale factor.

To find the scale factor,we need to follow some rules:

locate two corresponding sides, one on each figure.

Write the ratio of one length to the other to find the scale factor from one figure to the other
