What is 2 3/4 as an improper factor..? just asking

An improper factor is a fraction that has a higher numerator (number in top) than the denominator (number in the bottom). Some examples of improper factors are 9/8 or 5/3 bc the top number is higher than the bottom one.

You can get the answer by multiplying 2 × 4 bc we want to know how many fourths (1/4) are in 2. In this case there are 8

then we add 8/4 with 3/4 to get 11/4
