A triangular prism is 37 millimeters long and has a triangular face with a base of 20

millimeters and a height of 24 millimeters. The other two sides of the triangle are each 26
millimeters. What is the surface area of the triangular prism?

formula- tsa of prism- 2*area of trangular base + lateral surface area

to make easy

area of trangular base = 1/2(breathe×height)

lateral surface area =

area of trangluar bases+ perimeter of trangular base

The surface area of the triangular prism is 3144 square mm

Calculating the surface area of the triangular prism.

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

The Triangular Prism.

Where, we have

Base = 20 and Height = 24

Two sides = 26

Length = 37

All units in mm

The total area of the Triangular Prism is the sum of the individual shapes

So, we have

Surface area = 2 * triangle area + Area of big rectangle

Using the above as a guide, we have the following:

Surface area = 2 * 1/2 * 20 * 24 + (26 + 26 + 20) * 37

Evaluate

Surface area = 3144

Hence. the total area of the figure is 3144 square mm
