Sumo-Sumo Gas Company has a tanker-truck for hauling gasoline. The cylindrical tank has a

diameter of 5.4 meters. The tank is 16 meters long. How many cubic meters of gas can the truck
haul?

Answer: 366.2 cubic meters

Explanation:

The cylinder is just a circle but extruded in the 3rd dimension.

The Volume of a cylinder = Area of Circle * Height

V of Cylinder =
\pi
r^(2) * height

r = radius

The radius is half of diameter

Diameter = 5.4 meters

Radius = 5.4 / 2 meters = 2.7 meters

V = 3.14 *
2.7^(2) * 16

V = 3.14 * 7.29 * 16

V = 366.2 Meters Cubed
