As soon as Ralph and Piggy land on the island, they are not immediately concerned about finding the other children. Explain why the kids, specifically Ralph and Jack, behave in this way on the island. What factors relate to their behavior? Why do they feel the need to play, swim, etc. with such unstable conditions and a lack of safety?​

Since they are children they do not understand the severity of the situation they’re in. If anything, they find their newfound freedom as something liberating for them, as they come from a place where they were bound to rules they did not want to follow
