Following circuit on the left, V = summation of IRs

9 = I1*3 + 3*2

3*I1 = 9 - 6 = 3

I1 = 1A

I2 = 3 -1 = 2A

Following circuit on the right, V = summation of IRs

ε = I2*4.5 + 3*2

= 2*4.5 + 6

= 15V
