Where,

a = 24 ft

b = 24 + 12 = 36 ft

h = √(13² - 12²) = √25 = 5 ft (pythagorean theorem was applied here)

Plug in the values

Area of trapezoid = ½(24 + 36)*5

= ½(60)*5

Area of trapezoid = 150 ft²
