Multiply the first term.


x * {x}^(2) = {x}^(3)

Multiply x by everything on the right, dont do x squared we already done that.


x * - 3x = - 3 {x}^(2)


x * - 1 = - x

Multiply 2 by everything on the left expect -1. ( that our next step).


2 * {x}^(2) = 2 {x}^(2)


2 * - 3x = - 6x

Multiply the last term, 2 and -1.


2 * - 1 = - 2

Add like with like.
