Explanation:

The coordinate points of a point are (x, y) where x is the number on the x-axis and y is the number on the y-axis.

By looking at points A and B they're easy to tell.

For points C, D, and E they're in between whole numbers so by converting the number given which is a fraction you can get 0.25 from 1/4 which is half of 1/2, 0.5 from 1/2, 0.75 from 3/4 which is half of 1/2 plus 1/2, 1.25 from 1 1/4, etc....
