Sam asked some other children which sport they like. They all choose swimming. Now the most children choose swimming. How many children did Sam ask?

Explanation:

From the chart, we know that,

Number of children who chose soccer = 7 (this was the highest)

Number of children who chose swimming = 3

So for swimming to be chosen the most, it should gave been chosen by more than 7 children, i.e. 8 children or more than 8.

So the difference between 8 children and 3 children is = 8 - 3

= 5

Thus, 5 is the least number of other children to chose swimming.

Therefore, Sam asked at least 5 number of children or more than 5.
