for example: in the table, it says a is 2. SO you put that into the equation you are given.


(a)/(2) + b = 12 substitute "a" which we know is 2 into the equation


(2)/(2) + b = 12 NOW you solve for b

first, divide 2 by 2 which equals 1

THEN subtract 1 by 12 giving you 11. The equation should look like this

b = 11

11 can then go under 2 on the table.

Do this for the rest of the answers.
