Answer: Martin Luther King Jr. stood for righteous equality. His hopes and his "I have a dream" speech, aroused countless lives both American and African American. His goals went against the way America had been raised, for she was a mighty country, but it was not yet seen as unjust, until King took a stand. The police no doubt felt his teachings and his wishes were wrong, and felt they should end this. They wanted to "restore order" to their homes and lives. However, i beg to differ, that the so called "order" was but chaos cloaked in silence. The police failed to witness the truth King had given to the people of the nation, and the world.
