Photosynthesis is the process in which carbon dioxide, sunlight, and water gets turned into energy (glucose) by plants, and the plant releases byproducts (oxygen) back into the air.

Step-by-step explanation:

Inside the plant is a small organelle (a little body inside a cell dedicated to a certain job) called a chloroplast. When a plant is in sunlight, it gets absorbed into the chloroplast and converted into energy by the chloroplast. While the plant is absorbing sunlight, it is also taking in CO2 (Carbon Dioxide), H2O (Water) and minerals from the soil to help in the process to generate energy.
