If it takes 16 men 15 days to complete a work,how long will it take 20 men?​

Since, there is a relation of inverse proportion between no of men and no of days.

Therefore,


20x = 16 * 15 \\ \\ x = (240)/(20) \\ \\ x = 12

Explanation:

15 men work in 16 days to complete the work. So 1 man contributes 16/15 days.

For 20 men there is an addition of 5 men. [20–15)* 16/15] days = 16/3 days. Substract 16/3 days from 16 days = 16 - (16/3) = 10 days and 16 hours.
