Given:

Speed to train = 200km/h

The train sets off from Station A at 12:24.

Reaches station B at 14:12.

To find:

The distance between both stations.

Solution:

We have,

Speed to train = 200km/h

Time taken by the train to cover the distance between station A and station B is the difference between 14:12 and 12:24.

Time = 1 hr 48 min

Time = 1.8 hours [ 1 hr = 60 minutes]

Let d be the distance between both stations.

We know that,

Speed=(Distance)/(Time)

200=(d)/(1.8)

200* 1.8=d

360=d

Therefore, the distance between the two stations is 360 km.
