Explanation:

You want to first find the area of all the the different shapes you have...

you have 2 semicircles A= πr²/2 (because it is /2 you don't really need that because in the end you are going to *2 so just make the equation A= πr²)

you have a rectangle A= b*h

you have a triangle A = b*h/2

Semicircles: A= πr² = (3.14) 4² = (3.14*16) = 50.24

rectangle: A = b*h = 12*8 = 96

Triangle: A = b*h/2 = 12 * 7/2 = 84/2 = 42

then you add them up

50.24 + 96 + 42

= 188.24
