Explanation:

We will have: P as Peaches and M as Mangoes

We now have: P + M = 4568 and P - 1654 = M (or M + 1654 = P)

=> Therefore, P + M = M + 1654 + M = 4568

=> 2M = 2914

=> M = 1457

=> P = 1457 + 1654 = 3111

a/ There are 1457 mangoes.

b/ There are 3111 peaches.
