Explanation:

For both number 9 and 10, we are trying to find volume. Volume is the space within a three dimensional shape. To find the volume you do length × width × height. Knowing this we can start solving.

For number 9, the length is 20 ft, the width is 10 ft and the height/depth is 5 ft. Now we multiply these numbers.

20*10*5 = 1,000

This gives of 1,000. Since this is in feet, we add feet/ft at the end. Also since it is volume, you add ^3

1,000 ft^3

Now lets do the same for number 10

The length is 6, the width is 2 and the height is 12. Now multiply

6*2*12 = 144

This one is in inches so we add inches/in at the end. It is also volume so we add ^3 as well

144 in^3
