Given:

Radius of the cylinder = 2 cm

Height of the cylinder = 3 cm

To find:

The surface area of the cylinder.

Solution:

The surface area of a cylinder is:

A=2\pi rh+2\pi r^2

Where, r is the radius and h is the height of the cylinder.

Putting
r=2,h=3,\pi = 3.14, we get

A=2(3.14)(2)(3)+2(3.14)(2)^2

A=37.68+25.12

A=62.8

Therefore, the surface area of the cylinder is 62.8 square cm.
