Hopes this helps:
Answer: x = 12/1-v
1. Subtract Vx from both sides.
12 = x - Vx
2. Factor out the common term x.
12 = x(1 - v)
3. Divide both sides by 1 - v.
12/1 - v = x
4. Switch sides.
X = 12/1 - v
