Explanation:

To solve this problem you just use the distance equation which is √((x1-x2)^2+(y1-y2)^2). It does not matter which point you use where but if you use -7 as your x1, you have to use -6 as your x1.

The process should look like this

√(-7-(-3))^2+(-6-2)^2)

√((-4)^2+(-8)^2)

√(16+64)

√(80)

=8.944 or 8.9 rounded to the nearest tenth
