Answer:

-4 ; 2

Explanation:

x = largest ; y= smaller

2y + 3x = -2

4y - 3x = -22

Best method = elimination

sum the the two equations and replace one by the equation found

6y = -24

2y + 3x =-2

solve the first equation for y by dividing the two members by 6

y = -4

substutue -4 at the y of the second equation and solve for x

-8 + 3x = -2

3x = 6

x = 2
