Explanation:

1)C

Because

5x+12=5(x+4)

=5x+12=(5×x)+(5×4)

=5x+12=5x+20

TRANSPOSE

=-20+12=5x+(-5x)

=-8=0??

2)A

Because

2(x+5)=1+2x+9

(2×x)+(2×5)=1+9+2x

2x+10=10+2x

TRANSPOSE

2x+(-2x)=10+(-10)

0=0

Or

2x+10=10+2x

12x=12x

0=0

Answer:

Explanation:

No solution

5x+12=5(x+4)

‘5x+12=5x+20

12=20 is obviously incorrect so this is no solution

infinite many

2(x+5)=1+2x+9

2x+10=2x+10

10=10
