Answer:

A sandwich starts in the mouth, where it is broken up into smaller particles. The salivary glands lubricate the munched up sandwich pieces allowing it to slide down into pharynx--where it will be swallowed. After the sandwich pieces are swallowed they go down into the esophagus, which will transport the food into the stomach. In the stomach, the sandwich pieces will be churned up and broken down even more. Pepsin, a digestive enzyme in the stomach, will break down the proteins from the sandwich and turn them into polypeptides. The HCI activates other enzymes, which also break up the food and kill germs. The wall of the stomach is protected by mucus and little is absorbed in the stomach itself. Sorry I have to go right now lol but Ill try and finish it in like a half hour if no one else helps you.
