Therefore the area of the shaded sections = the area of the two triangles

Area of a triangle = ½*bh

✔️Area of the first triangle with the following dimensions:

b = 8 in

h = 9.2 in

Area = ½*8*9.2 = 4*9.2 = 36.8 in²

✔️Area of the second triangle with the following dimensions:

b = 6.5 in

h = 9.2 in

Area = ½*6.5*9.2

= 29.9 in²
