Write an essay explaining three reasons the Southern states seceded (withdrew) from the Union which lead to the American Civil War.

Why did the south succeed from the north during the American civil war? Well the south wanted to keep slavery while the north wanted to abolish it. The south also thought that their rights were being taken away by the government. The south also did not like Abraham Lincoln’s views about abolishing slavery.
