It’s V=31/12

(1). 7=12v-24 (12v is a variable so you move it left hand side and change its sign)

(2). 7-12v=-24 (7 is a constant so move it to the right hand side and change its sign)

(3). -12v=-24-7 (now calculate the difference -24-7)

(4). Now it’s -12v=-31, now after that divide both sides of the equation by -12

(5). So the answer is V=31/12

Answer:

To the nearest tenth: v = 2.6

To the nearest hundredth: v = 2.58

Fraction form = 31/12

Explanation:

1. Add 24 to both sides to cancel it out on the right

7 = 12v - 24

+24 +24

2. Divide each side by 12

31 = 12v

31/12 = 2.5833333

12/12 = 1v = v

v = 2.583333
