Find the slope of the line that passes through points (2, 8) and (1, 3)

Your slope would be 5

Explanation:

Since we know 2 points we'd use the formula


M=(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1))


X_(1) = 2


X_(2)=1


y_(1)=8


Y_(2)=3

So your equation would be


M=(3-8)/(1-2)

Than you would subtract each of them leaving you with this:


M=(-5)/(-1)

When you divide the two negative numbers that would leave you with your slope, which is 5.

-5 ÷ -1 = 5
