Solution:

Note that:

  • Area of triangle = 1/2 x Base x Height
  • Area of triangle = 360 cm²
  • Height = 18 cm

Using the formula to find the area:

  • 1/2 x Base x Height = Area of triangle
  • => 1/2 x Base x 18 = 360 cm²
  • => Base x 9 = 360 cm²
  • => (Base x 9)/9 = 360/9 cm²
  • => Base = 40 cm

Formula for area of a triangle is 1/2 x base x height.


musing the information given you have:

360 = 1/2 x base x 18

First multiply both sides by 2:

720 = base x 18

Now divide both sides by 18:

Base = 720/18

Base = 40 cm
