Explain why the formula A = 1/2 ( bh ) works for finding the area of a triangle

Answer: It works because a triangle is half of a square and when you divide by two it helps because It is half of a square, the base x height works well because since we do base times height for parallelograms and it works the same for a triangle since this it is a parallelogram this is why A=1/2( bh ) works for finding the area of a triangle. let me if this helped or not.
