Use the data on the dot plot to answer the question. A dot plot titled How Many Hours did you read last week going from 3 to 6. 3 has 4 dots, 4 has 6 dots, 5 has 3 dots, and 6 has 5 dots. How many people read for more than three hours last week?

You need to find all the people who read more than three hours. More than three hours would mean people who read more than 4, 5, or 6 hours. Since the number of people who read 4 hours is 6 dots and 5 hours are 3 dots, we add them together.

6+3

= 9

Since the number of people who read 6 hours is 5, we also add that.

9+5

= 14

Answer:

14

Explanation:

More than 3 hours would be 4 hours and 5 hours and 6 hours.

So sum the number of dots above the numbers 4, 5 and 6:

6 + 3 + 5 = 14
