Why does a larger quantity of water take longer to freeze ?

Answer:

As the quantity of liquid is bigger it will take longer to freeze because more energy will have to be used. There is a state of matter that water has which is called super cooling this is where the water is at a freezing tempture but ice crystals haven't be formed correctly. Different liquids freeze at different temperatures. Water will freeze faster than liquids with salt or sugar in them. Some liquids freeze faster than others because of viscosity, or thickness of the liquid. Thicker liquids will freeze more slowly and some will not freeze at all.
