Step One: Introduction
- Introduce the argument and 3 of your main points (thesis statement).
Step Two: Body Paragraph 1
- Lay foundation for your argument. Present your first point. Disprove one of your opposition's claims.
Step Three: Body Paragraph 2
- Present your second point for your argument, and disprove another one of your opposition's claims.
Step Four: Body Paragraph 3
- Present your third point for your argument, and disprove another one of the opposition's claims.
Step Five: Conclusion
- Restate thesis statement, and review your three points. Close off with a thought-provoking statement about your argument so they're more inclined to believe you.
[NOTE: When disproving the opposition's claims, make sure to introduce it by providing a counter to your argument as if you were on the opposing side, then disproving it]
