Using Elimination method

3x − 4y = 5 ..... Equation 1

2x + 3y = −2....... Equation 2

We Multiply Equation 1 by 2 and Equation 2 by 3 to Eliminate x

6x - 8y = 10..... Equation 3

6x - 9y = -6...... Equation 4

We substract Equation 4 from Equation 3

y = 16

Solving for x , by Substituting 16 for y in Equation 2

3x − 4y = 5...... Equation 1

3x -4 × 16 = 5

3x - 64= 5

3x = 5 + 64

3x = 69

x = 69/3

x = 23

Therefore, x = 23, y = 16
