Is 6x-8 equivalent to 2(3x-5)?Explain why or why not​

no, if the 2 is outside the parenthesis you multiply it by both numbers inside, rather than multiplying the first number and adding the second.

Answer: no

Explanation:

because if we use distrutive property we can do 2x3x + 2x5 and that will make 6x-10
