How might the invasion of the Soviet Union have been different if it had started in April instead of June? Explain.

Answer:

Had the Wehrmacht invaded the Soviet Union even two months earlier, the Third Reich could have defeated the Soviets by seizing the capital. However, they were unprepared for a freezing Siberian winter, and they were forced to retreat. The Wehrmacht was only months away from victory. Two more months of time could have been that tipping point.
