He passed the Indian removal act and made the Cherokee tribe move to Oklahoma in the winter at gun point. which lead to deaths along the way. Better known as the trail or tears. Native Americans were dying because of weather conditions, causing them to get sick and because of lack of resources there was nothing they could do.
