The test serves the purpose of letting the state know how schools are doing but can be used as a measure to accept students into certain schools. What are some pros and cons of standardized testing? Answer: Some pros that standardized testing is good is because it is a metric of learning. Pro #2 is that it helps with what you need help on. Pro #3 is that it helps all the schools evaluate the good progress you have made. Some cons that standardized testing is bad is because the test scores can impact the confidence of the kids. Con #2 is that there is also alot of pressure to "teach to the test". Con #3 is that the test doesn't really give a full picture of what the student can do. These are the pros and cons of why standardized testing is good and bad.
