Given Equation:-

  • 2x + 2y = 20

To find:-

  • Value of y

Solution:-

Let this be Equation one :-

2x + 2y = 20 . . . . . . ( 1 )

and this be Equation two :-

3x = 2y. . . . . . . . . . . . .( 2 )

Simplifying equation one:-

↝ 2x + 2y = 20

↝ 2 (x + y) = 20

↝ x + y = 20/2

↝ x + y = (10 × 2)/2

↝ x + y = (10 ×1)/1

↝ x + y = 10

↝y = 10 - x

Put this value of y in Equation two:-

↦ 3x = 2y

↦ 3x = 2(10 - x)

↦ 3x = 2(10) - 2(x)

↦ 3x = 20 - 22x

↦ 3x + 2x = 20

↦ 5x = 20

↦ x = 20/5

↦ x = (4 × 5)/5

↦ x = (4 × 1)/1

↦ x = 4

Now Let's ind Value of y:-

put value of x in the equation one but simplified form.

↝ y = 10 - x

↝ y = 10 - 4

↝ y = 6

Now let Verify either the value of x and y:- .

↦ 2x + 2y = 20

put value of x and y in this equation.

↦ 2(4) + 2(6) = 20

↦ 2 × 4 + 2(6) = 20

↦ 8 + 2(6) = 20
